Written by seekers, for seekers
OnMeaning is an honest attempt at life’s hardest questions — asked out loud, and followed through Scripture rather than around it.
OnMeaning is dedicated to guiding thoughtful seekers through profound biblical reflections, exploring life’s purpose, and finding meaning in our everyday experiences.
We aim to take an intellectually honest approach to life’s most difficult questions: Why are we here? Why does evil exist in the world? What does it mean to live with purpose?
We’re grateful you’re here, wrestling with these questions alongside us. Our prayer is that this becomes a valuable and life-giving resource on your journey.
Three commitments
-
01
Ask the hardest questions
These are written from inside the wrestling, not from above it. No strawman version of the objection, and no rushing past the part that genuinely hurts.
-
02
Let Scripture lead
Answers are traced through the text itself, not asserted over it. That is why the timeline sits alongside the essays.
-
03
No hand-waving, no shortcuts
Where a passage is difficult, we say so. Where an argument against us is strong, we say that too. A conclusion is only worth the work behind it.
“I do not write because I possess great wisdom, but because I carry great questions. My hope is that you and I might find harmony in the wrestling, as we step into this exploration together.”
